Protect California Children

Remember the damage done during the last recession? California public school funding was cut to the bone. Massive numbers of teachers were laid off, class sizes grew rapidly, and art and music programs were slashed.

Now our public schools and community colleges are just recovering from those cuts – but unless we act this November to maintain a tax on the wealthiest 2% of California households, our schools could lose $5 billion a year in critical funding.

But this week, we officially turned in our petition signatures to kick off our campaign to pass the California Children’s Health Care and Protection Act, a statewide initiative on this November’s ballot to maintain crucial funding for our children’s education and health care -- because our children and school matter most.

The petition signatures we’ve collected make this official -- now it’s time to make sure we win this November.

Please add your name in support of the California Children’s Health Care and Protection Act today to give our kids the quality schools and health care they deserve.
