In Case You Missed It: Educators, Parents and Students Across the State Take Action Today to Support Prop 55

Educators, parents and students are uniting today in a day of action in communities across the state to support Proposition 55. Supporters of Prop 55 are gathering before and after school to talk to Californians about the importance of passing Proposition 55 this November to prevent billions in education cuts. The efforts are part of a national day of action to protect and promote public schools. The national event is coordinated by a coalition of labor, community, social justice and faith groups called the Alliance to Reclaim Our Schools (AROS).

“Educators, parents and students are joining together today to deliver an important message in communities across the state – we can’t afford to go back to the days of cuts,” said Jennifer Wonnacott, campaign spokesperson. “Just like those who are standing up for education today, our children need all Californians to take a stand this November and vote yes on Proposition 55.”

The campaign will be highlighting the efforts around the state throughout the day on social media. Posts for these activities include #reclaimourschools and #prop55.
